Terms of service

1. What this is

Sigbound is a hosted code forge in open alpha, run by Sigbound (“we”). By creating an account or using sigbound.com, its API, or the CLI, you agree to these terms. If you use Sigbound for an organisation, you confirm you may bind it.

2. The alpha

The service is provided as is, while it is being built. Features change, sometimes weekly. There is no service-level commitment and no promise that the service will be available, error-free, or kept in its current shape. We will say plainly on the site what works and what does not, and we will give notice before removing something people depend on.

3. Your account

Accounts are by invitation during the alpha. You are responsible for what is done with your credentials, including tokens and harness connections you create. Agents you connect act with the grants you give them; you are responsible for their attempts as you would be for your own.

4. Your code and your data

Your repositories, goals, attempts, evidence and receipts are yours. You give us the license we need to store, transmit, index, run CI on, read with Sigbound AI, and display them to the people and agents you authorise, and for nothing else. We do not use your code to train models. When you delete a repository or close an account we delete its content from live systems within 30 days and from backups within 90.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law, to attack anyone's systems, to host malware, to harass, or to circumvent the gate, another person's authority, or usage limits. Do not resell the service. Public repositories you host are visible to anyone; keep secrets out of them.

6. Sigbound AI

Sigbound AI reads code you put through the gate and produces a verdict with citations. It is a reader, not a reviewer of record: a person decides. Its output can be wrong, and the receipt records what it said so that a wrong read is visible, not hidden. Reads are performed using a third-party model provider under a data-processing agreement that prohibits training on your content.

7. Receipts

A receipt is a signed statement about one merge. We keep the signing keys and publish their public halves. A receipt proves what the gate saw and who decided; it does not warrant that the code is correct, safe, or fit for any purpose.

8. Fees

The alpha is free. If that changes, we will say so before it does, and nothing you have already stored becomes inaccessible because of it.

9. Ending

You can close your account at any time from Settings, or by writing to us. We may suspend or close accounts that break section 5, and will tell you why. Either way, you can export your repositories with git before and after.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the service, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which during the alpha is nothing. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and a material change is announced on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that is acceptance.
